Since I have had my D4 head repaired I have started to look at removing the head between locations and only putting it on the tripod when setting up a composition; but what a hassle…After 9 years of hard use and generally treated with no care at all – my tripod head finally went on strike and gave up working…Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn) is a magical place, best seen on a stormy day with the waves raging against wet rocks resplendent in a range of hues…I have now decided on my favourite 12 photographs I took last year (2022) and decided on my overall favourite image…Spurn point is Yorkshire’s very own Lands End – an iconic and constantly moving peninsula which curves between the North Sea and the Humber Estuary…An enjoyable day spent wandering around one of my favourite bits of “Celtic Rainforest” in Snowdonia. As usual for this area, it was dull and wet….I do like to get up to the Lake District during Autumn to try and catch the colour, so this year I took my van to Borrowdale for a week and focused my photography around Grange at the bottom of Derwentwater….Just back from a very enjoyable week in the Cairngorms photographing the autumn colour; which was spectacular this year….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….….
